Grants Manager: This position has flexibility to be full or part time.

SUMMARY

Under the general direction of the VP of Agency Advancement, and working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Grant Writer is responsible for the research and leadership implementation of grants and program requests for proposals. This work will be in collaboration with agency management and will serve as a member of the Management Team, reporting directly to the VP of Agency Advancement. 
 
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES

1.0 Mission, Policy and Planning
1.1 Responsible for research on grants and program RFP’s and supporting program development and initiatives to support agency strategic goals and objectives.
1.2 Is aware of and actively supports the agency’s strategic plan, mission, vision, values and guiding principles.
1.3 Responsible for ensuring grant and program development aligned initiatives are with the Sanctuary Model. A focus on strategic planning will be necessary.
1.4 Assures alignment of grant proposals within agency mission, vision, and values. 

2. 0 General Oversight and Responsibilities:
2.1 Oversees all grant applications And RFP’s for programs and tracks timeline and reportables.
2.2 Provides direction and coaching for managers around needs for written proposals.
2.3 Works in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team to determine grant and new program development initiatives.
2.4 Monitors reports back to funders on awarded grants.
2.5 Assures compliance with accreditation and federal laws, regulations and policies.
2.6 Assures grant applications will effectively and efficiently meet the clients, family and funders needs of the region. 
 
3.0 Designs, implements, and monitors the quality assurance practice to support programs in securing grants and developing new program opportunities or expansion.

Grant Writing and New Program Development:
3.1 Research new funding opportunities for the agency, for targeted programs and other opportunities and make appropriate applications.
3.2 Establish and maintain working relationships with directors and staff in an effort to recognize, seek out and drive targeted funding opportunities.
3.3 Assist in establishing process to collect data to submit additional reports in support of pending grant applications or those awarded.
3.4 Set up meetings or visits with potential funders and foundations to make presentations as part of grant application process or new program development for the agency.
3.5 Track follow through once the contribution has been made with ongoing correspondence and reports required for grants.

4.1 Ensures a visible presence among staff and is accessible to all levels of the organization.
4.2 Maintains a climate that attracts, maintains and motivates a diverse group of high quality staff and volunteers.
4.3 Keeps the Senior Leadership Team informed about activities, new opportunities and any important information. 

5.0 Champions and actively supports the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values, Guiding Principles and Strategic Plan. 

6.0 Other duties as assigned by the VP of Agency Advancement. 

 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
 
EDUCATION: Bachelors Degree or combination of education and experience. 

 EXPERIENCE: 3-5 years experience in non-profit management and grant management. Must have successful grant writing/proposal experience.
